Ilam House – Canaan Valley – Skiing Vacation Retreat

Ilam House is on the ridge line of Canaan Mountain at about 3700 feet, and gets more snow (and more dependable snow cover) than areas down in the heart of Canaan Valley.

Ilam House is 3 miles from Davis, WV,  about a 3 hour drive from Pittsburgh, and about 3.75 hours from Baltimore or DC area. Read about how to get to Ilam House.

Ilam House is a new, contemporary, and very comfortable house for a skiing vacation for groups of up to twelve. The house has a modern, open family area with fireplace, and a large “chef’s kitchen”. It also has a large play room with Ping Pong (and sofa bed), 2 bedroom suites and 2 bedrooms with queen/twin bunks. The hot tub on the outside deck is a real treat after a day of skiing! The house is adjacent to the Monongahela National Forest for cross-country skiers who want to strike out on their own (see above picture!). The house is also about five miles from Whitegrass Cross Country ski center – one of our favorite places on the planet, and also Timberline downhill skiing, and Canaan Valley downhill skiing.
