Randy and I had a fun excursion - one way lift ride to the top of Timberline, down Salmander a few minutes to a turn off to hike round-trip into Dolly Sods. On returning we skiied down to the lodge. The slope is gradual, but with our beater XC gear, it required all of our considerable skiing skills(!)
