A good ski house should be entertaining for the down time, especially with a big family. Ilam House sounds like the perfect accomodations.

Those blueberries look wonderful! Do you think there will still be some there around August 14th? I hope to return at that time and I’m sure my kids would enjoy some blackberry picking!

When I first saw the name “Ilam House,” I misread it as “11 am House,” which I took to mean that it’s such a relaxing destination, no one wants to wake or stir before 11 am. Now that I’ve actually been a guest, I’m sticking with “11 am House.” Our weekend stay was thorougly relaxing, and after a day of snowshoeing, what pleasure to come home to the hot tub, and to enjoy meals cooked in one of the best equipped kitchens I’ve ever seen. This is a perfect destination for your annual ski-trip, family getaway, or even a retreat spot for a small office or work group.
